Research in Wang laboratory has focused on chemical glycol-biology, biochemistry and Organic chemistry, mainly include the design and synthesis of drugs based on the structure and mechanism, glycol-proteins, vaccine and synthesis of natural product.

Brief
Introduction
Peng Wang obtained his BS degree in Chemistry from Nankai University, Tianjin, China, in 1984. He then finished his PhD degree in Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry in University of California, Berkeley, United States, in 1990. After his postdoctoral training also in University of California, Berkeley, he joined the faculty of Scripps Research Institute in 1994,then he joined the faculty of chemistry of Miami University as an Assistant Professor. In 2001, he was promoted toan Associate Professor in faculty of chemistry in Wayne State University and Tenured Professor in 2003 in the same Institute. He joined the College of Pharmacy at Nankai University, Tianjin in 2007. Currently, he is a Cheung Kong Professor at Nankai University.
