      Yang Liu obtained a BS degree in Chemistry from Nankai University in 2006, and a Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from Nankai University in 2011. After graduation, Yang joined Prof. Yunfeng Lu’s group at Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and obtained another Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering in 2016. Yang was awarded by the “the Thousand Talents Plan – Young Professionals” in 2016 and then joined the faculty of Nankai University, Tianjin, China. Currently, he is a professor of College of Chemistry, Nankai University, as well as a professor of the State Key Laboratory of Medicinal Chemical Biology at Nankai University.
       Yang Liu Laboratory has focused on the development of nano-therapeutics for disease treatments.Particularly, his group is interested in design and synthesis of novel polymeric nanostructures for therapeutic purposes including (1) systemic delivery of multiple therapeutic enzymes for the treatment of chronic diseases, (2) modulation of immune system for immunotherapy, and (3) development of targeted delivery systems for better chemotherapy. He has published original research articles and reviews in Nature Nanotechnology, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Nanoresearch, Adv. Drug Deliv. Rev., etc.
