        Zunfeng Liu, Studied at College of Chemistry in Nankai University from 1998-2008, obtained Bachelor, Master, and PhD degrees in Chemistry.From 2008 to 2013, he worked as a research scientist in Leiden University and Rotterdam Erasmus Medical Center, during which period he was issued a VENI grant in 2009. From 2013-2016, he worked as a research associate in University of Texas at Dallas. He published 35 peer reviewed papers in international journals, such as Science (first author), Adv. Mater, Adv. Funct. Mater, and the 5-years citation reaches 3471 (until Feb. 2016). He applied 16 patents including one international patent, and 1 patent is issued. He is the associate editors of “Nanoscience and Nanotechnology” and“HOAJ Biology”, and members of IEEE, ACS, Graphene flagship, NVVM. The project of “Superelastic conductors” was selected as Top 100 scientific discoveries in 2015 by “Discorvery Magazine”.
        Research in Liu laboratory has focused on elastic devices, artificial muscles, wearable electronics, and sensors. Based on advanced carbon nanomaterials, and elastic polymer materials highly stretchable elastic conductors were designed and stable resistance were realized for 14 times stretch. Large stroke artificial muscles were designed based on super strong fibers, elastomers, and biomaterials. The research will focus on the development of novel materials, devices, which can be used for wearable electronics, sensors, healthcare applications.
